Radek Lienerth
Radek "ZOBAN" is a mountain guide of UIAGM. He specializes in training courses in rock climbing, ice climbing and ski mountaineering, guiding in all types of climbing and ski mountaineering terrain. Owner of the ClimbOn climbing school, external teacher of FsPS MU Brno - outdoor sports.
For rock climbing he uses the terrain of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria. During the summer he is usually in Chamonix all season, but here and there he also goes to Wallis or the Bernese Alps. He then spends the winter across Europe, mostly in Austria, Malta, Bad Gastein, Tauern and Dachstein. In the fall, he visits Nepal for a few weeks, turns off his phone, doesn't answer e-mails, and enjoys the mountains with people that are with him

At least occasionally being at home with my family and being a good dad to our children, climbing and skiing with friends, and when there is still some time left, I enjoy MTB. Otherwise, I will also enjoy a good book, quality music of all genres except brass band and a good film.

Why and for how long have you been using Rock Empire products?
I was using products with the ROCK EMPIRE logo since the brand was founded, and it can be said that despite the fact that I had most of the equipment from other companies for several years, there was always something from RE in my equipment. Whether it was a light summer sleeping bag, carabiners, stoppers, friends.
I have been using the complete ROCK EMPIRE product portfolio since 2012, when I became a member of the RE team. The basics are harnesses and complete hardware, except for pitons. I have been testing crampons for the whole summer season this year, and it should be noted that even in difficult hikes such as the Frendo pillar or the Innominata integral on Mont Blanc, they performed absolutely perfectly.
How satisfied are you with them, when can you rely on them?
As a climber tester, I am obliged to have reservations, but also to objectively evaluate all aspects of the tested equipment. In general, I can state that the quality of manufactory and sophistication of all products from ROCK EMPIRE is very high and the reminders are mostly only cosmetic. For example, the LIGHTNING harness has become by far the most popular harness for climbing in the mountains with its weight-to-performance ratio.

- I completed my education as a mountain guide UIAGM (2006) and so I can spend most of my time in the mountains and climbing.
